The shoemaker, who lives in Machynlleth, Powys, spent five years learning the craft as an apprentice, before setting up her own business a year ago.

She has a variety of customers including film stars, poets, artists, dukes, doctors, nurses and bin men.

Ms Davey said she had made shoes for the Harry Potter actress Emma Thompson and her sister, Sophie.
